Global Intern
South Africa

Fee based, 8 week online program for individuals to train as "global interns" and grow portable careers as tailing spouses/partners.  

GLOBE Program
United States, Virginia

Paid, 11-week summer internships for current students and recent graduates of Bachelors, Masters, or PhD programs. Age of students is not a factor nor is it relevant whether the person took a career break before beginning one of these degree programs.

Two fellowships each year to mathematicians who need support when their career is interrupted by family responsibilities, relocation of partner, or other similar circumstance, making possible some continuous mathematical activity, so enabling the fellow to be in a position to apply for posts when circumstances allow.

The MomSource Network places educated professionals in flexible roles with employers throughout the United States. Began 2013.

LEAP Engineering Acceleration Program
United States, Washington

16-week program established in 2015. Microsoft partnering with contracting companies.

Licensure and Exam Services
United States, California, Colorado, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas

Clinical Competency Assessment Program – Evaluation of the clinical competence of a physician who has been out of practice for an extended period. Programs available in New York, Colorado, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, California and Texas. Costs vary.

Long-Term Fellowships
Europe, Germany

The EMBO Long-Term Fellowships are awarded for a period of up to two years and support post-doctoral research visits to laboratories throughout Europe and the world. International exchange is a key feature in the application process.

11-month, full time, post graduate programme for relaunchers.

United States, Georgia

3 month program for individuals who have been out of the workforce for at least 3 years.

New Horizons
Surrey, England, London

20-week paid placement starting January 2017 with another to follow in September 2017.

Next Chapter

8-week paid internship for women looking to reenter the workforce after a career break.

Off/On Ramp
United States, California

Cisco’s “Off/On Ramp” enables employees to take a 12- to 24-month unpaid break from their career, with Cisco paying for the employee’s (and employee’s family members’) benefits during the first year.

Opportunity OnRamps
United States, California

16 week program for individuals who have been out of the workforce for at least two years.

United States, New York

Places experienced professionals back into the workforce through paid, short-term projects at non-profits.  Skill development, training and coaching provided for individuals. May result in employment opportunity. Began 2014.

Path Forward (formerly Return Path ReturnShip)
United States, California, New York

16-week paid reentry internship program with groups of companies in designated geographic areas. 

University of California San Diego Medical School, San Diego, CA: Physician Assessment and Clinical Education Program. (PACE) 2-phase, 7-day program. Ongoing, 1996 - present.
