Meet Zarna Garg
Zarna Garg is an Indian-American stand-up comedian and screenwriter.
In this interview, we speak with Zarna about her return to work journey after a 16 year career break. She talks about how she relaunched her unusual career, how she uses social media to grow her community and her process in developing content.
Pro Tip:- Do not miss the part where she opens up about her children being instrumental in her relaunch journey.
P.S. - Pictured at left, our CEO and Co-founder Carol Fishman Cohen with Zarna at one of Zarna's Boston shows. Carol is a huge Zarna fan, has seen Zarna perform live twice, and can't wait to see her again!
And the one piece of advice I would give to anybody who's relaunching is that come into whatever you choose to do with complete clarity that you are coming in for the business. Because when you are in a second act like what relaunching is, often people think - Oh, it's a hobby, it's a backup. It's not. It's a business. Keeping that as a North Star and a moral compass in your brain really focuses you on how you deal with people.

She could make anyone laugh and I wanted her to be paid for it. Mom, have you ever thought about being a stand-up comedian? As she began dreaming of a comedy career, the reality of her current life as a stay-at-home mom sank in. She began to cry and told me it was too late for her. I could not bear to watch her struggle between ambition and doubt.
