Post-Event Questions

Where do I find the post-event survey?

Once logged in to your iRelaunch account and check under the "Post-Event" Materials header for the section "Complete our survey to receive post-conference handouts!" The link will also be sent to you in a follow-up email.

Where do I find the Roadmap?

Please log in to your iRelaunch account. Under "My Products and Services" you will see the Return to Work Roadmap. Click on the red "Enter" button.

Will I still have access to the Roadmap after the Conference ends?

Yes! Roadmap is provided through a one-time subscription fee which was included in your Conference admission. This subscription allows you continued access to the Return to Work Roadmap and all future updates.

I was unable to chat with a sponsor I was interested in. What do I do? How do I get in touch with them after the Conference?

For those of you who did not get a chance to speak with a sponsor you were interested in, we are working closely with the sponsors to provide you with the best guidance on how to connect with them.

How do I access the session recordings and selected slides from Carol's keynote?

Session recordings will be available if you complete the post-event survey that will be sent to all attendees and will be made available in your iRelaunch account 1-2 weeks after the event concludes. To fill out the survey, log in to your iRelaunch account and check under the "Post-Event" Materials header for the section "Complete our survey to receive post-conference handouts!" The link will also be sent to you in a follow-up email.

Can I see my chat transcript and notes after the event?

Yes, you will have access to this information for 6 months after the Conference. Go to the “History” tab in your Brazen account to see this information. For more information, see Brazen's helpful information page on how to access chat transcripts.

I am trying to access the event and I am being prompted for a Whova invite code. What is the code?

We are only using Whova to display the agenda and speakers on our event page here. You will not be able to join any of the sessions from Whova as we are not using the app functionality so there is no invite code. Please log in to your iRelaunch account or follow the instructions sent to your email for how to enter the Conference.

I missed the deadline to register for the Conference. Can I still register?

Unfortunately, we are unable to reopen Conference registration. Please save the dates for our next conference (May 17th - 19th, 2022) and sign up here to get updates on when we open registration for our May 2022 Conference.

Which browser is best?

We recommend using either Chrome (for PC’s) or Safari (for Mac’s) for best results, but Brazen also supports Firefox and MS Edge.

How do I log in to the Conference?

It’s important to remember that all three Conference days have unique links.

  • The links to access the first 2 content days on October 5th and October 6th will be emailed to you the day before and the morning of, and they will be available in your iRelaunch account 24 hours before that day's event begins.
  • You may log in to the October 7th networking day and explore the lobby and sponsor booths at any time! The link to access the October 7th networking day can be found in your iRelaunch account.

I can't log into Brazen to update my profile information. What should I do?

If you think you have created an account on Brazen but are unable to log in, please reach out to support@brazen.com They will be able to send you a unique url to log into your account. If you don't hear from Brazen support, please reach out to Sarah Mills at smills@irelaunch.com.

Can I log in before the Conference starts?

You may log in to the October 7th networking day and explore the lobby and sponsor booths before the event. The link to access the October 7th networking day can be found in your iRelaunch account.

The links to access the first 2 content days on October 5th and October 6th will be emailed to you the day before and the morning of, and they will be available in your iRelaunch account 24 hours before that day's event begins.

Feel free to log in up to 15-20 minutes early on any day of the Conference.

Please note that for the networking day on October 7th, that the green “ready to chat” buttons in the sponsor booths won’t be visible until the event start time on October 7th.

I’ve completed my Brazen profile but would like to update it or upload a new resume. How do I do that?

First, log in to the October 7th networking day in Brazen; the link can be found in your iRelaunch account.

After you log in, you will see a “Registration” link in the left hand column (blue bar). Click on the Registration link and you can update any of the information. If you’d like to change your resume, click “Remove” to remove the old resume and then “Select File” to select your new resume. Be sure to scroll down to “Save” your changes.

Are all times Eastern?

You can change your settings to display your preferred time zone within the Brazen platform.

Due to a bug in the agenda software the agenda on our October 2021 Conference Page defaults to the event's time zone which is Eastern Daylight Time and does not automatically adjust to the viewer's time zone. Even if you select "Add to Calendar," the platform we utilize for displaying the agenda does not update to your time zone, so be sure to create an event reminder on your personal calendar in your own time zone! We will also send email reminders with links, but having that extra calendar notification will keep you on track.

Will there be live captioning?

Yes!

  • After joining the meeting, click on “Live Transcript” in the meeting controls at the bottom of your screen, then select “Show Subtitle”
  • Captions will show at the bottom of the screen

Brazen Live video broadcasts with Google Chrome Live Captioning (October 5-6)

  • On your computer, open Google Chrome
  • At the top right, click on the 3 vertical dots and select “Settings” from the dropdown
  • On the left side of the screen, click on the arrow next to “Advanced” then select “Accessibility” from the dropdown
  • Toggle the “Live caption” button to the right to turn it on
  • Captions will show at the bottom of the screen in Brazen

For the networking/recruiting on October 7th: Chats start as text-based but an employer may invite you to do an audio/video chat. It is then up to you to decide if you would like to shift to audio/video or remain in text chat. Please note closed captioning is not available in the 1:1 audio/video chats.

Will the sessions be recorded?

Session recordings will be available if you complete the post-event survey that will be sent to all attendees and will be made available in your iRelaunch account 1-2 weeks after the event concludes.

Will we have access to any of the slides after the Conference?

Selected slides from the keynote and a resource guide will be emailed to all attendees who complete our post-event survey.

Will I still have access to the Roadmap after the Conference ends?

Do I log in to the Job Board and iRelaunch account at the same place?

The site through which you log in to the Job Board is separate from the site through which you log in to your iRelaunch account. You will use your iRelaunch account to access the Return to Work Roadmap, and additional information on the October Conference (including the log in links for each day on the Brazen platform).

My registration in Brazen only shows a link to October 7th. Why don't I see the links for the other days of the conference?

The links to access the special pre-conference webinar on October 4th and the first 2 content days on October 5th and October 6th will be emailed to you the day before and the morning of, and they will be available in your iRelaunch account 24 hours before that day's event begins.

You may login to the October 7th networking day and explore the lobby and sponsor booths at any time! The link to access the October 7th networking day can be found in your iRelaunch account.

On the morning of October 5th and October 6th, login to your iRelaunch account and you will see instructions on how to enter the conference for that day under the "How to Enter the Conference" section header. Once you login to the conference with your Brazen account credentials and enter the event you will be brought to the Conference lobby.

Employer Chats

What do I need to prepare before the Conference?

We strongly recommend you ensure your camera and microphone settings are set up prior to the October 7th networking day in case a sponsor asks you to video chat. Follow these helpful tips to prepare and troubleshoot any issues:

  • Make sure you close out of any unnecessary applications or windows, refreshing your page, and trying again.
  • Make sure you have strong Internet connectivity. Weak connections can often create disruptions in audio and video. In order to address this issue, try switching to an alternative Internet source.
  • Is your browser up to date? Make sure you have the latest version of your browser. We recommend using Chrome, but Brazen also supports Firefox, Safari and MS Edge.
  • Is your camera, mic and screen share enabled? Review your browser settings to make sure your browser can have access to your camera, mic and screen share. Also, check your device settings to make sure your audio, camera and screen settings are set to the preferred channels.

How do I find out if I'm eligible for a company's return to work program?

You can find an up to date listing of the sponsoring companies that will be recruiting at the October Conference on the event page. For specific details about each company's return to work program, open positions and eligibility requirements, please click on the sponsor’s logo which will take you to the company’s information page about their program.

iRelaunch does not have specifics into the details of each company’s program, so it is best to conduct your own research by referencing Steps 19 and 20 of the Roadmap to guide you in your own company research. Access the Roadmap by logging into your iRelaunch account and entering the Roadmap Product from your Library.

We highly recommend you do this research ahead of time so that you can make the most efficient use of your networking day with employers. Use your company research to develop your own strategy of which companies are at the top of your list to chat with on networking day.

Will I have to choose between listening to speakers or chatting with employers?

No, October 5th and 6th will be dedicated content days (no networking or chatting with employers). On October 7th, the dedicated networking day, there will be no live broadcasts.

Will chats be 1:1 or in groups?

All chats are 1:1

Are chats text-based or audio/video?

Chats start as text-based but an employer may invite you to do an audio/video chat. It is then up to you to decide if you would like to shift to audio/video or remain in text chat. Please note closed captioning is not available in the 1:1 audio/video chats.

Can you be in a chat queue with more than one company at a time?

  • Yes. Make sure your “Chat Availability” is set to “Available”
  • You can sign up to chat with as many employers as you’d like. Go to “Search Booths” and select “Ready to Chat” for any company you want to chat with.
  • You won’t be put into multiple chats at the same time and you won’t be pulled out of chat that you’re currently in.
  • You’ll get a notification when you’ve been put into a chat.

How long do the chats last?

Each chat lasts 10 minutes (unless the employer or candidate decides to end it sooner). Employers have the ability to extend chats.

Can I tell what place in line I am for the chat?

Yes, please look at the "Activity" dashboard in each employer booth to see your spot in line.

What if I need to leave after I’ve signed up for a chat?

Make sure to change your “Chat Availability” to “Away” whenever you’re not available to chat and to change it back to “Available” when you are available.

Can we choose and select a person with whom we want to chat with in a particular booth?

You are able to select which sponsor's booths you would like to chat with, however the Brazen platform will match you with a sponsor representative based on your place in line and which representatives are available at that time.

How should we dress?

An employer may invite you to engage in a video chat, so wear something you would be comfortable wearing in that situation. We also recommend you are aware of what is in your background.

How do we contact an employer after the Conference?

Ask for their contact information during your chat.

Can I see my chat transcript and notes after the event?

Yes, you will have access to this information for 6 months after the Conference. Go to the “History” tab in your Brazen account to see this information. For more information, see Brazen's helpful information page on how to access chat transcripts.

Are there some sponsors participating that will not have representatives available for chats?

All sponsors who are participating will have representatives on hand to chat except Macquarie and SWE.

Job Opportunities

Should we apply for a job opportunity before the Conference?

Yes! You can view open roles in the employer booths in Brazen by logging in to the October 7 networking day; the link can be found in your iRelaunch account. If you see any roles you are interested in, you should apply and then mention it during your employer chat. Also be sure to register on the Job Board to see any jobs posted by these and other employers (even after the conference ends!).

Should we have a cover letter?

We encourage you to have a cover letter when you submit your resume.

Do the companies have access to resumes ahead of time?

Yes, companies have access to attendee demographic information and resumes ahead of time.

Should we ignore job location when searching open positions?

If you are interested in a job, be straightforward with employers about whether you could relocate. Some companies may be moving to virtual jobs, but this is company and role specific.

Do all individuals have a chance to get a job?

All relaunchers (people who have been on a career break) have a chance to get a job.

Am I eligible to apply if I’ve done occasional part time work or worked outside of my primary field?

This varies by company and we highly recommend you do some research on the company's return to work program and eligibility before the networking day. Even if you're still not sure whether you're eligible, we do encourage companies to be flexible in their definition of a career break so don’t self select out and assume you're ineligible, but do be transparent about your career break and what you did during that time.
