2024 Virtual Return to Work Conference, May 14-16

iRelaunch Return to Work Conference May 2017

May 17, 2017
Stanford University, Stanford, CA

The 20th iRelaunch Return to Work Conference held in partnership with the Stanford Alumni Association welcomed over 400 attendees.

Please accept my sincerest appreciation to you and your conference for providing me encouragement and counsel on my return-to-work journey. I attended the conference on May 15, 2017 at Stanford. Before attending the conference, I was convinced that I had ruined my legal career for taking an eight-year break to raise my three little girls.

After the conference, I took every bit of advice to heart. I ramped up my LinkedIn profile, started networking with old colleagues, and most importantly, I began to study for the CA bar exam. I found out on Friday that I passed the CA bar. And today, almost one year after attending your conference, I received a formal job offer to join a litigation practice group here in San Francisco as a full-time, partnership track associate.

I cannot begin to thank you enough for providing me the necessary encouragement when I needed it the most in my professional career.

I sat at several tables and could not believe the quality and qualifications of the [conference attendees] around me. I was shocked that most of these people were not working. They are gems just waiting to be found. I could not have understood the company I was in had I not attended the conference.

Words can’t express how appreciative I am of you and the iRelaunch organization. I had to convince myself to make the trip [from Michigan] because I wasn’t sure if I was ready or confident enough, but I am so glad I did! It was just what I needed and it definitely was comforting to be surrounded by women (and men) with the same goals. I learned so much from you, the panels and the workshops. I’m grateful for the awesome resources provided and the opportunity to connect with recruiters. I can now see a little light at the end of the tunnel!

The opening address was worth the entire trip and cost of the conference. Invaluable tips and strategies.

I attended the iRelaunch at Stanford and found such help and positive, instructive information, tools, and "next steps." I just finished my second level interview and am hoping to make the third round.

The conference broke down the seemingly insurmountable into very tactical, bite-sized steps to get started. It was a truly effective kick-off to something I've been putting off for weeks, not knowing where to begin...

This was a terrific way to force my plan into motion! As they told us at the conference, 'you must get out of the house and out of your own head! Put yourself out there and great things will follow.'

I put the job search off for months, not knowing where to begin. Now, I have a clear list of to-do's and feel confident that I'll be ready to apply for jobs in a matter of days.
