Bevin Mugford entered the workforce 10 years after graduating from college and raising her four children. She began her career as a luxury real estate agent and ultimately became a brokerage owner. Another career break was prompted in the summer of 2012 when her family moved across the country for her husband's career.
In 2013, Bevin attended the iRelaunch Return-to-Work Conference and heard Janet Kraus, peach CEO, speak. Although Bevin had little experience in the fashion industry, she immediately thought, "here is a really smart woman with a really great idea – I want to work for her!" Because she believed in the mission of peach, she knew she could sell and recruit other women to join the company. She took a risk, introduced herself to Janet at the conference - and the rest is history.
Today, peach is a thriving venture-backed start-up. In her role as head of field development, Bevin has the privilege of recruiting, training and coaching the women launching (or relaunching) their careers with peach as personal stylists and entrepreneurs. She "loves the authentic, overriding sense of team that is the essence of the peach culture. All the people that have joined forces to build this brand are passionate and brilliant individuals who inspire me daily."
iRelaunch Note: Bevin Mugford attended the 2013 iRelaunch Return-to-Work Conference and was a speaker at the 2016 iRelaunch Return-to-Work Conference on the Relaunching in Non-Profits, Public Sector, Education, Start-ups panel.
