Milbert Kiggundu-Bentham has over 14 years of experience across finance, new business and marketing. Following her graduation from Cornell University, she started her career as an intern at the United Nations Development Program and was also selected as one of five Business Fellows for Africa as part of the United States Information Agency and the Corporate Council for Africa. Ms. Kiggundu-Bentham spent a couple of years working in commercial banking in Uganda before returning to Georgetown University, where she was awarded a merit-based scholarship in the MBA program.
Following graduation, she spent eight years in structured products research initially at Bear Stearns and then later as a Director at Standard and Poor’s where she evaluated asset managers and published multiple research reports which were quoted in the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times.
During her six year career break, she started a fashion line, Kalulu Kids, which created upscale children’s clothing using high quality cotton from East Africa and manufactured in New York City. She was also on the board of DanceWave Inc., a Brooklyn based non profit organization.
In 2014, she reentered the corporate world through Bank of America’s Return to Talent Program as a Senior Vice President in Marketing at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
