Off/On Ramp[field_prog_location]

Cisco’s “Off/On Ramp” enables employees to take a 12- to 24-month unpaid break from their career, with Cisco paying for the employee’s (and employee’s family members’) benefits during the first year.


Places experienced professionals back into the workforce through paid, short-term projects at non-profits.  Skill development, training and coaching provided for individuals. May result in employment opportunity. Began 2014.

16-week paid reentry internship program with groups of companies in designated geographic areas. 

University of California San Diego Medical School, San Diego, CA: Physician Assessment and Clinical Education Program. (PACE) 2-phase, 7-day program. Ongoing, 1996 - present.

Professional Re-Entry Program[field_prog_location]

16 week paid re-entry program for individuals who have taken a career break of at least 2 years. 

Programs for individuals who have been out of the workforce for at least 2 years. 

Denver, CO: Clinical Practice Reentry Program. 2 days with final report 6 to 8 weeks later. Fees vary. Ongoing.

6 month paid intership program for individuals who have been on a career break for at least 2 years. Starts October 2018.

RE-Empower Program[field_prog_location]

16-week paid program for individuals who have been out of the workforce for at least two years.

Re-Entry Program[field_prog_location]

6-month paid program for individuals who have taken a career break for at least 2 years.

Re-Entry to Practice[field_prog_location]

Physician Reentry Program.  


 4-month paid reentry internships for individuals who have taken at least a 3-year career break from engineering. Launched 2017.

RE-IGNITE Program[field_prog_location]

12-week paid internship for individuals who have taken a career break of at least 2 years. 

REACH [field_prog_location]

REACH is a six-month paid apprenticeship program for programming and coding roles within the LinkedIn functional engineering team. Note, a computer science background is not a prerequisite.


Staffing firm matches selected, experienced women returning to the workforce with interested employers. Six-week "skills refresh," coaching and peer support. Application required. Began 2013. Once accepted into the program the program is free.
