Linda Balkin, MBA, PCC, CPCC      

Chicago Coach

Linda Balkin blends a practical and insight driven approach to helping leaders and teams improve overall effectiveness and performance. She helps her clients gain self awareness and identify clear development goals that create positive, lasting change. Her focus is on partnering with clients to build their capacity to drive results with authenticity and greater leadership versatility. Her team development work emphasizes establishing greater alignment, accountability, and trust.

Linda's expertise is grounded in over 20 years of experience with senior business leaders across multiple industries such as Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods, Information Technology, Financial Services, and Distribution. Prior to her coaching work, she was Director of Consulting Services at a healthcare information start-up, now Thomson Reuters Healthcare. As a business partner to her clients, she developed growth strategies that identified new service lines and revenue streams. Additionally, she helped client organizations build their internal fact-based, strategic planning capabilities. Linda also recruited senior leadership talent as a retained executive recruiter at Witt/Kieffer, the largest healthcare search firm in the U.S., and at a boutique generalist firm. At both firms, she gained insight into the key characteristics and capabilities that drive performance and make senior executives successful.

Linda has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA from the University of Michigan. She served as a coach for Kellogg alumni and designed and delivered numerous career development workshops for the alumni community. Linda is certified as a coach through the International Coaching Federation and The Coaches Training Institute. She is also certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®), The Hogan Leadership Forecast Series, Team Management Profile®, and The Leadership Versatility Index (LVI®). She has additional experience with a host of assessment instruments including CareerLeader® and Strong Interest Inventory®.


As a coach, Linda is committed to serving as her clients' champion, confidential sounding board, brainstorm partner, challenger, accountability support, and dedicated advocate. Through her collaborative coaching process, Linda empowers clients to create clarity of purpose, shift into action, and remove barriers to their growth and success. 


Julie Cohen, MS, PCC

Philadelphia Coach

Julie Cohen, PCC, is a Career and Personal Coach. She helps her clients clarify and achieve their professional and personal goals including greater career satisfaction, life balance, leadership development and personal growth. Formerly an internal executive Coach at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young LLC, she was part of the design team responsible for developing and implementing a national coaching program. Julie also coaches individuals around leadership skills, team development, effective communication, job transition and performance feedback results. She is currently coaching Wharton School MBA Candidates as part of a Leadership Development Program.

Previous to her coaching work, Julie was a Career Development Specialist, where she focused on retaining talented employees and creating a high-performing work environment. She supported employees on attaining and surpassing career goals, negotiating a complex corporate structure and managing workplace conflict. In addition, she worked closely with large-scale consulting engagements to match business needs with employee skills and aspirations.

Julie brings over eighteen years experience in corporate, non-profit and entrepreneurial entities to her work as a human development professional. As a Career Counselor for The Wharton School undergraduate program, she worked with students and alumni on job-search strategies, and with corporations implementing recruitment strategies. Additional responsibilities as a University Administrator included personal counseling and staff training, development and supervision.

Julie has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Counseling from Villanova University. She is a graduate of Corporate Coach University International's and Coach University's Training Programs, is a past President of the Philadelphia Area Coaches Alliance and a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF). Julie has earned the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the ICF.  Julie lives near Philadelphia with her husband and son. Karie Davis, MA

Chicago Coach

In addition to serving as an Alumni Career Coach for Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, Karie maintains a private coaching practice with a specialty in providing virtual career coaching to alumni of top tier MBA programs nationwide. With 14 years' experience in career and job search strategy consulting across a wide range of industries, Karie provides coaching on all aspects of career development and job search management, including strategy creation for job search and career transition, reentering the workforce, networking, resume review and refinement, interview preparation, and negotiating job offers and promotions. She served as an Associate Director for Kellogg's Career Management Center from 2002 - 2007, where she worked with students, alumni, and companies recruiting at the school.

Prior to working for Kellogg, Karie was a Vice President in the Chicago offices of Lee Hecht Harrison, a global career development and leadership consulting firm, where she worked with senior executives, managers, and associates from a broad array of industries and functions, including marketing, finance, technology and healthcare. Her work with Lee Hecht Harrison also included presenting numerous seminars and workshops, executive coaching, and managing training and certification initiatives for all local professional staff at 4 Chicago-area offices.  

With additional background as an educator, corporate trainer, professional editor, instructional designer, and writing consultant, Karie holds a BA in English from the University of Michigan and an MA in Education from the University of Chicago.


Jane Finkle, MS, NCC

Philadelphia Coach

Jane has over 20 years experience in helping individuals with career assessment, planning, job search strategies, action plans, and workplace adjustment.  Prior to founding Career Visions (www.careervisions.cc ), Jane was a career consultant at Options, Inc, Philadelphia, PA where she worked with clients from all walks of the career spectrum. In addition to helping them change, redirect or advance their careers, Jane was also responsible for providing consulting and training to organizations on team building and effective communications. Jane served as Associate Director of Career Services at the University of Pennsylvania, where she designed and administered career programs, developed resources, and provided career counseling and advice on employment trends and job search strategy for students and alumni of the Wharton Undergraduate Division. She also created and led the "Career Discovery" seminar at Wharton and served as liaison to recruiters from major corporations.

Jane is a part time career counselor at Bryn Mawr College and recently served as a delegate for NCDA/People to People Ambassador Program in China. She taught a Career Evaluation course at the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate course in Career Development at Chestnut Hill College. She is the past President for the Philadelphia chapter of the Association of Career Professionals International and serves on the advisory board of DM Enterprises, a start up in Boston. She was a frequent guest on the CN8 Morning Show and is quoted frequently in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Monster.com and many major publications and websites. Jane was recently appointed to the Consulting Psychologist Press Advisory Board and is a member of the National Career Development Association, Career Management Alliance, Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association, Net Impact, and Green Careers Central. 

Jane has an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Rochester, and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC).and Master Career Development Professional (MCDP). She is a certified instructor in Myers- Briggs Type Indicator and Strong Interest Inventories. 


Amy Gleklen, ACC, MBA, MS

Washington, DC coach

Amy is a certified leadership coach specializing in career and leadership coaching and founder of Next Game Plan.    Amy's passion is working with people to help them discover their unique next game plan, whether in a new career or moving to the next level of leadership.  She created a career exploration and transition coaching program to help get clients in their "career zone."  As a leadership coach, Amy partners with clients, leveraging strengths and identifying areas for development, to help them become better and more successful managers and leaders.  In addition to working with clients individually, Amy has created and leads a variety of workshops.  She co-developed the Relaunch Circles Workshop series and is a workshop facilitator for iRelaunch in the DC area.  Amy is one of a select few career coaches recommended by the Wharton Alumni Career Management Office.

Amy has followed her own playbook with over 20 years of corporate, small business, and nonprofit experience, including Merrill Lynch; Biden for President; Booz, Allen & Hamilton; and as director of a DC-based nonprofit.  Her background includes leadership roles in management, finance, sales and operations.  Her education includes an MBA from Wharton Business School, a Masters degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins, and leadership coaching certification through Georgetown University.  She is an ACC ICF certified coach and certified in a variety of assessments including Myers-Briggs, Strong Interest Inventory and Leadership Circle 360.  She completed a 12-week course on Positive Psychology through the University of Pennsylvania.  Amy has been married for 20 years and has four children ages 16, 14, 11 and 8.


Pam Jensen, JD, MBA

Boston Coach

Pam Jensen is a career development coach and independent Human Resources consultant specializing in career issues, work/life balance, and organizational effectiveness. As an independent consultant, Pam has worked with organizations of all sizes from start-ups to Fortune 100 corporations. In an assignment with the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Pam was responsible for the delivery of the career development curriculum for their Back in Business career reentry program. She subsequently started an individual career coaching practice specializing in professionals looking to re-enter the workplace after a career break.

Prior to starting her own consulting venture and coaching practice, Pam worked for 15 years at the Gillette Company in Human Resources. At Gillette, Pam managed both global MBA recruiting and global Work/life initiatives. While in the Work/life role, she served as an employee advocate in creating flexible work arrangements, was responsible for counseling employees who were returning from maternity leave and implemented a new back-up childcare program. Those roles laid the foundation for her current involvement in the career re-entry movement and her belief in the critical importance of utilizing this unique talent pool.

Pam holds a BA from Northwestern University, a JD from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She is the mom of three children 9, 7 and 3.

 


Lisa Chenofsky Singer, ICC

Northern New Jersey Coach

Lisa Chenofsky Singer has more than 20 years of experience in the field of human resources and coaching. Lisa created her own alternative work life balance when she began her family. Her two children, ages 14 and 11 have shifted how Lisa managed her career from corporate life to consulting and back. Lisa's consultative work with a wide variety of sectors-consumer goods, healthcare, medical, life sciences, pharmaceutical, media and entertainment,  publishing, professional services, technology, and non-profit environments-has enabled Lisa to leverage her unique ability to bring together wide-ranging perspectives on executive and leadership development, transition and career coaching, and human resources consulting.  Lisa brings particular expertise to the table when helping clients that are undergoing significant transformations. Sarah Stamboulie heads Stamboulie Career Consulting, a career consulting business specializing in providing executives with comprehensive career services.
