"I left my career as a Computer Information Studies professor to stay home with my newborn daughter. But after just two years I started teaching as an adjunct professor to Business college students and then moved on to consulting after being recruited for my knowledge of COBOL. When we started thinking about kindergarten for my daughter, it was time for a career change for me. I started my social media consulting company, Social Media Matters, in 2008. I am one of the founding members of Walmart's ElevenMoms, I've worked with companies like Ford, SeaWorld, and Colgate-Palmolive as a blogger/speaker, and I design social media strategies for my clients."
